“IRIS (We Share Our Chemistry with the Stars)”

6 07 2010

Intriguing work by Marc Quinn of six-foot tondos (circular paintings) of eyeballs.  He is best known for collecting 10 pints of his own blood every few years and freezing it into a self-portrait.  I find this series “IRIS (We Share Our Chemistry with the Stars)” to be very exquisite.  Our eye balls colouring and patterns do remind me of the stars.  These paintings also inspired my next collection of A/W 10.  Enjoy!
