Dreaming of Spring

Caitlin got me an amazing book which I’m completely in love with.  It is a beautiful book of illustrations from life under the ocean.  I’m finding more inspiration for A/W 12.  Usually I should be done with the collection by now.  Unfortunate series of life events really took so much of my creative juice away from me.  I’m trying to find my voice again.  This book really inspired me to create.  Thank you Caitlin!

Yay for Dresses!

Loveliness

As I always have said the over sized cotton hand loomed tunics are my first love.  They are flattering on so many people.  Plus the pieces allow you to play around with proportion and various ways of styling them.  Be free and have fun with your clothes.  Such a joy to experiment variety of combination.

Happy Weekend

Just received a new parcel from Bangkok.  Excited to see of what is in the box.  All the contractors are doing okay.  Everyone has been cleaning up their homes and their community from the 3.5 months long floods.  The new beauties have been through a lot.  I’ll post some pics soon.  In the meantime stop by and enjoy our lovely pieces.

Tunics Please

I love designing over sized one of a kind tunics made from hand loomed cotton from northern Thailand.  The reason behind one of a kind is due to the fact that the fabric in each print is limited.  The textile artisans would only weave small quantity of each print.  It makes these beauties a complete treasure.  The tunics also allow me to be more creative since they are one offs.  They also satisfied my obsession for anything asymmetrical and architectural inspired.   It is my homage of remembering the way that I first failed in love with fashion.  I have always adored my mother’s over-sized caftans and dresses and of course my childhood trips to Japan made a big impression on me.  It is my way of bringing my memories to the present time, to try to keep my Thai root alive and to enjoy the pieces in everyday living.
