It is definitely that time of a year where I am attached to my laptop. Yes, I’m spying on other people and their work. It is exciting to see of what everyone are up to for this season. It is the first day for New York Fashion Week on September 10th. So far I am really intrigued by Ports 1961. They are the Prada of Canada. My sweet neighboring boutique Souchi carry many of their pieces. I often go in Souchi and admired all the amazing dresses and accessories. Beautiful Innovative designs and incredible craftsmanship.
In 2004, under the Canadian sportswear label Ports International’s umbrella, North African–born, Vancouver-bred designer Tia Cibani launched Ports 1961, a women’s ready-to-wear line full of classic, structured pieces, with a romantic and sometimes ethnic twist.

Oh, my goodness! An exquisite draping and wrapping work. According to Cibani, she was inspired by Origami folding techniques for this collection.

I love anything with sculptural quality.

The long necklace/scarf has great weaving texture feel to it. I would absolutely enjoy this piece.

Night, night everyone! I’ll try to blog everyday during New York Fashion Week.
