Beautiful Scarves

13 01 2010

I am very delighted to have these beautiful scarves from my grandmother’s old village in North Eastern part of Thailand along the border of Laos.  These prints are so prominent in Thai culture.  My father wears his sarongs in these prints.  He loves wearing them around the house and at the beach.  I love how the prints are so traditional and yet very modern.

These pieces are hand loomed and natural dyed with plants, berries, leaves or bark.  One scarf supports a family of textile maker for a week or more.  They are $32 each piece.
