New Beginning

15 01 2011

I am so grateful for my friend Caitlin and her persistence in getting our website up and running again.  She is amazing and kind to be putting up with our website nightmare.  The online part is up and you can actually purchase pieces on our e-commerce.  The site is a work in progress.  It still needs some more love and tweaking.  Thank you also to Evangelina for shooting our product pics.  I can’t asked for a better team to be a part of this label and our lovely shop.  Caitlin also changed out “About Us” page.  The text is written my by PR Goddess and dear friend, Sarah.  Thank you so much to our little village.

Here is our new Kyoto tunic.

This is part of a sample text from our new version of “About Us.”

In April of 2010 Evangelina Owens and her husband, Miles Johnson, joined forces with IDOM. Owens, a trained photographer who spent her teenage years in South Africa, and Johnson, a painter and graphic designer, travel the globe hunting for treasures for IDOM. Together, Soondarotok, Owens and Johnson share in a commitment to support designers and artisans from around the globe. Their shared sensibility of mixing ultra modern design with global indigenous influences can be seen not just in the IDOM line, but in the treasures and objects they source from around the globe to feature at the IDOM boutique.   You can always find one of the business partners working behind the counter at their shop space in Portland along with their friends Caitlin, Velia and Lindsay.

Our new lovely Fuji dress is also in the shop now.  Please stop by and visit us this weekend.  Enjoy your weekend everyone.
